This KOMRAD has been extensively modified and tested, featuring open gas ports and a custom-tuned, 6-position adjustable gas system. The bolt and carrier have been reshaped, polished, and refined to reduce friction and improve cycling consistency. As a result, this shotgun has been test-fired with 00 buckshot and has proven reliable with ammunition rated up to 1,200 feet per second, with many similar builds from our shop also running 1,150 FPS loads reliably, depending on ammunition and configuration.
The firearm is equipped with a 12.5-inch barrel and a USA-made SGM flash hider, providing effective muzzle control and a balanced overall profile. A hinged Dog Leg top rail allows for stable optic mounting while maintaining field-strip capability. The M-LOK handguard offers modularity and improved heat management, paired with a forward vertical grip for enhanced control during rapid or defensive shooting.
Additional upgrades include a professionally installed ALG-EL trigger, delivering a noticeably improved trigger pull over factory components, a Hogue pistol grip for comfort and retention, and a folding, adjustable brace with push-button hinge, allowing for compact storage and adjustable length of pull.
